Privacy & Cookie Policy
This policy explains what happens to information when you visit matcliptan.com, how Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Meta Pixel and remarketing are controlled, and how you can exercise your privacy rights. Merely browsing the website is not treated as consent.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller for this website is Martin Matcliptan, the operator of matcliptan.com. For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, email mar@matcliptan.com.
2. Information we process
Website delivery and security
Our hosting provider may process technical request data such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, response status, browser information and referrer in server logs. This is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, diagnose faults and maintain security.
Analytics — only with your consent
Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-X8Y23D38CJ) may receive page URLs and titles, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser information, campaign parameters, searches, list filters, product views, outbound clicks, video engagement, scroll depth, Core Web Vitals and a pseudonymous browser identifier. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, payment details or the contents of communications to Analytics.
Advertising — only with your consent
Google Ads (tag AW-648828087) and Meta Pixel (pixel ID 5403693356356682) may receive page visits, ad-click identifiers, campaign information and product interactions. These providers may associate this information with other information they hold to measure conversions, create advertising audiences, perform remarketing, limit ad repetition and personalize advertising according to your settings with those providers.
The current website implementation does not upload customer lists, names, email addresses or payment information to Google or Meta and does not use Meta Conversions API. If those practices are introduced later, this policy and the consent mechanism must be reviewed before deployment.
3. Our legal bases
- Necessary storage and security: our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Storage or access on your device is limited to what is strictly necessary to provide the service or record your privacy choice under the exception in Article 399(3) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law.
- Analytics: your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 399(1)–(2) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law.
- Advertising and remarketing: your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 399(1)–(2) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law. This includes Google Ads and Meta Pixel processing for audience creation, campaign measurement and personalized advertising.
- Legal obligations and claims: compliance with applicable law and the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims where necessary.
Optional data is not required to access the website. You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.

The table lists common examples rather than an exhaustive inventory because providers may change cookie names or lifetimes as their services evolve. Browser or account settings can also affect duration. When you withdraw a category, the site revokes its consent signal and attempts to remove known first-party cookies for that category. Withdrawal cannot retroactively erase information already transmitted while consent was active; you may use the rights and provider controls described below.
5. Consent choices
The first time you visit, you can accept all, reject all, or choose categories. Analytics and advertising are separate choices; the advertising choice covers both Google Ads and Meta Pixel because they serve the same advertising purpose. No optional box is preselected. Rejecting optional technologies does not block access to content. Your choice expires after 180 days or earlier if this policy materially changes. You can reopen settings through the control at the bottom-left of every page or the footer link.
Google Consent Mode v2 is initialized with analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization set to denied. The external Google tag is requested only after analytics or advertising consent, and Meta Pixel is requested only after advertising consent.
You may also delete or block cookies using your browser. Blocking the necessary consent cookie means the site may ask for your choices again.
6. Recipients and international transfers
Depending on your choices, information may be processed by:
- Namecheap and its infrastructure providers, for website hosting and security;
- Google Ireland Limited and relevant Google group companies, for Analytics and Google Ads. Depending on the service and account setting, Google may act as a processor or a separate controller under its applicable terms;
- Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and relevant Meta group companies, for Meta Pixel and advertising, under the roles described in Meta's Business Tools terms.
Some processing may take place outside the European Economic Area. Where required, providers state that they use recognized transfer mechanisms and safeguards, which may include adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. 7. Retention
The consent preference stored in your browser is retained for 180 days. GA4 user-level event data is configured for 14 months, while aggregated reports may remain longer. Advertising providers retain data according to their account settings and policies. Hosting logs are rotated according to the hosting configuration and retained only while needed for operation, fault diagnosis, security, a documented incident or a legal claim.
8. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR and applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
9. Provider information and additional controls
You can review how the providers process data and use their account-level controls:
- How Google processes personal information from business products and the Google Privacy Policy;
- Google Ads Settings and the Google Analytics browser opt-out add-on;
- Meta Privacy Policy and Meta ad preferences.
Remarketing and audience selection may involve profiling for advertising purposes. We do not use this website to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects for visitors.
10. External links and Amazon
This site links to Amazon and may use affiliate links. Amazon is responsible for information it collects after you leave this site. Purchases and payments are processed by Amazon; this website does not receive or store your payment-card details.
11. Children
Some products are intended for children, but this website and its advertising measurement are directed to adults purchasing or reviewing those products. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information through this site.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when technologies, vendors, purposes or laws change. A material change will use a new consent-policy version so that visitors are asked to choose again.
